Graduate of Issaquah (WA) High School, where he held school record in 100 and 200 meters. Graduated from Pacfic Lutheran University where he was captain of the track team. Earned M.A. (Education) from Lewis & Clark. Retired from teaching in Lake Oswego school district in 2005. Began coaching track in 1978. Appointed head coach at LO for T&F and Cross Country in 1972. USATF Level 1 Coach. Earned 2008 Three Rivers League Coach of Year honors in T&F.
Bob Williams, Distance Coach
A native of Eugene, OR (Track Town USA), graduated from St. Francis H.S. (now Marist), where he placed 3rd in the State mile competition. Competed for and graduated from the U. of Oregon, where he ran for the legendary Bill Bowerman and earned All American honors in the the 3000-meter Steeplechase. National champion in 1965 and Pac 8 Champ in '67. Over 35 years of coaching experience and Level II USATF certified. Masters degree from U. of O.
Laura Caldwell, Distance Coach
Graduated and also earned M.A. degree from the Florida State University, where she held school record in 800. Competed post grad and was Southern road racing Grand Prix champion 4 times. Two-time qualifer for US Olympic Trials marathon and winner of 1992 Seattle Marathon. Placed 8th in 1987 USA Women's Marathon Championships. Won three Silver Medasl (1500, 5,000 track & 8K XC) at World Masters Games in 1997. Previously coached at Florida High and Florida State University.
