Doug Henderson, 1984.
He became Lake Oswego's first Three Rivers League District Champion when he ran 15:34 over the 5,000-meter Clackamas Community College route. Doug went on to place an outstanding third at the State meet.

Tracy Hollister, 1991.
The son of former University of Oregon runner, Geoff Hollister, not only won the TRL District title in 1991 with a fine time of 15:41, but went on to become Lake Oswego's first and only State Cross Country champion when he ran to victory at Lane Community College at the State 4A Championships.

Upon graduation, Tracy enrolled at his father's alma mater and had a successful career as a Duck.

Ben Frisbee, 2005.
After runnng with the lead pack for almost 4K, the LO senior used his strength and speed to pull away from the competition, which included St. Helen's Kevin Elder and Ryan Waite,  in the final kilometer to win in 16:05.

He followed that performance with an impressive sixth place finish at the Oregon 4A State meet on a cold and rainy day ten days later.

After placing in the top 10 at the State Track & Field Meet in the 1500, Ben went on to compete for Haverford College in Pennsylvania, following his graduation from LOHS.

Riley Werner, 2006
After earning second team All District honors as a sophomore and first team as a junior, Riley followed former teammate Ben Frisbee as the TRL District champion.

In what was one of, if not the closest district finishes ever, Riley held off Lakeridge's Dave Marks over the final 400 meters to give the Lakers their second consecutive individual title.

Riley's time of 16:06 was only one second off of Frisbee's winning time the previous year.

Werner enrolled at the University of Oregon after a successful senior track season, 6th in the 1500 at State, and graduation from LO.

Elijah Greer, 2008.
A four-time All District performer, 2nd team as a frosh, and first team as a sopohmore and junior, the track standout capped his senior season with an exciting finish as he won the TRL meet by less than a second in a time of 15:52.

Shawn Kelly, 2000 (no photo available)
Shawn ran an impressive 18:36 over the Clackamas Community College route to win the TRL District meet.

Tate Murray, 2007, 2008 & 2009
In only her first cross country season, the sophomore won the third TRL District championship in Laker girls' history.

Tate covered the 5,000-meter course at Clackamas Community College in 19:13. She finished 7th the next week at the 6A State meet in Eugene.

As a junior, in 2008, she defended her District XC title with a fine 18:44 effort over the CCC 5K course.

After a frustrating 2009 season, where the senior harrier nursed a sore ankle mid-way through the season, Murray came on strong at the TRL District Championships, running her fastest CCC course time of her career. She pulled away from her competitors over the final 600 meters to win in 18:33--five seconds ahead of Milwaukie's senior Erin McLaughlin. One-and-a-half weeks later she finished 7th at the state meet.
